My First Piano Adventures!

Written for ages 5 and 6, My First Piano Adventure® captures the child’s playful spirit. Fun-filled songs, rhythm games and technique activities develop beginning keyboard skills. Three distinguishing features of the Lesson Book A make it unique and effective for the young 5-6 year old beginner.

Basic Piano Adventures

For beginning students ages 7 to 11, start at the Primer Level. Progressing through the eight levels of the basic edition (Primer through 5), the correlated Lesson, Theory, Technique & Artistry, and Performance Books work together to support the whole musician.

Accelerated piano Adventures

For older beginners ages 11 and up, use Accelerated Piano Adventures. In pacing and appeal, the books are ideal for the middle school beginner, and continue the tradition of learning music through discovery, creativity, and adventure.

How much does it cost to take lessons?

Lesson fees are $10 per 30 minute lesson. Lessons occur once a week through Zoom video.

What is Zoom?

Zoom is a web conferencing platform that is used for audio and/or video conferencing. Download the app here: https://zoom.us/support/download?os=android

How long are the lessons?

All lessons are 30 minutes each

Are the lessons grouped or private?

Lessons are taught in small groups (no larger than six). Private lesson are not available at this time.

How is payment of lessons handled?

We accept major credit cards and Paypal payments. Payment details for lessons will occur after your booking is received.

What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy for lessons?

Lessons must be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice to the teacher prior to the lesson time. More notice is always appreciated! To reschedule a lesson, please email us: info@skippackmusicschool.com

How do I start my lesson?

You will receive a reminder email before your lesson start time that will contain a unique link to the session. You can use that link to join the Zoom lesson!

Can I book just one lesson?

Yes, though most students take many more than one! You can book lessons in bundles of 4.

How do I coordinate my time zones to piano lesson time slots?

All lessons are given on EST, you may convert all the scheduled time slots to your zone. It is always important to check your time zone when you register as a student.

Will I get a refund if there was bad Internet connection and I was unable to have a successful lesson?

Yes, if it's your first lesson and you have a bad experience for any reason, you will receive a full refund. Let us know within two business days of attending the lesson unsuccessfully. We do encourage you to test your set-up before your first lesson, so that you won’t spend lesson time addressing connectivity problems. When technical problems do arise during a lesson, teachers are typically very willing to reschedule and try again. The goal is to get you connected and learning, but if it's not possible, you will get your money back!

Do I need a piano to begin?

Starting with a keyboard will be fine and even better if it contains a total of 88 keys.

What books do I need?

After registering, you will receive a welcome email with everything you need to get started with and a link to purchase books/material.
